That’s a wrap on Term 3!
What a wonderful way to finish the term, coming together as a community to farewell our much-loved Julie as she heads into retirement.
Julie has been such an important part of Torquay College for many years. Her hard work, dedication and commitment to our school have been enormous, and for so many families, Julie has been the friendly and familiar face welcoming them through our doors.
Today’s send-off was a beautiful reflection of just how much Julie means to our students, staff and families. The messages, hugs, well wishes and love from across our community were incredibly special and a fitting way to celebrate everything she has given to Torquay College. 💛
Julie, you will be greatly missed, but we are so excited for this next chapter and all the caravanning, family time and adventures ahead!
Thank you for everything, Julie. We wish you nothing but happiness in retirement. With lots of love from your Torquay College community.
And to all our students, staff and families, have a wonderful and well-earned Term 3 break. We look forward to seeing everyone back in Term 4!

🌟 Aerosport Champions! 🌟
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of Grade 5 student Reece, Grade 3 students Lyric and Mila, and staff member Lily, who competed at the Aerosport Championships on the Gold Coast last week.
Lyric and Mila represented themselves brilliantly in the Australian competition, while Reece achieved an outstanding fourth place in the international singles competition! Lily also delivered some incredible results in the international competition:
🥇 1st place – Team
🥉 3rd place – Pairs
⭐ 4th place – Singles
Lily and Reece have also qualified for the World Championships, which will be held in New Zealand this November.
Congratulations to Reece, Lyric, Mila and Lily. Your dedication, skill and hard work are truly inspiring, and the entire Torquay College community is incredibly proud of you! 💙👏
🎉 Mini-Activities Day 🎉
One of the most-loved days on our school calendar!
Our Grade 6 students did an incredible job planning, organising and running their own activities for the whole school to enjoy. There was plenty of creativity, excitement and fun as students moved around having a go at the different activities.
Best of all, the day raised just over $1,000 for a very worthwhile charity that the students will decide in liaison with the Junior School Council!
Congratulations to our Grade 6 students for showing such wonderful leadership, teamwork and initiative. A fantastic day all around! 🌟
🥎 SO CLOSE! 🥎
A huge congratulations to our Grade 5/6 Softball Team, who competed in the North Geelong and Bellarine Divisional Softball Competition on Tuesday.
Our students played brilliantly throughout the day, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. 💙💛
After a great day of competition, the team made it all the way to the flag-winning match, where they fell agonisingly short by just ONE RUN!
While it wasn’t quite the finish we were hoping for, we couldn’t be prouder of the way our students represented Torquay College.
👏 Well done to all of our players. An outstanding effort and achievement! And thank you to Mr D and the parents for their support on the day 🥎
