Principals Welcome
Welcome to Torquay College, a vibrant and community-minded school where every child is known, valued and supported to thrive.
We are proud to provide a dynamic learning environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity and connection.
Our school sits at the heart of a strong coastal community, and this sense of belonging shapes everything we do, from the relationships we build to the opportunities we create for our students to live and learn by the sea.
Our teaching and learning programs are underpinned by the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0) and a strong commitment to wellbeing.
Through structures such as MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and our dedicated Student Engagement and Wellbeing Team, we ensure that every student receives the right level of support and challenge.
We are proud of our proactive approach to wellbeing, which includes SWPBS, Respectful Relationships, Positive Classroom Management Strategies and consistent classroom routines that promote student voice, safety, and engagement.
Beyond the classroom, Torquay College offers a rich array of programs that celebrate our community’s creativity, culture, and love of the outdoors.
From our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program, sports programs, extra-curricula activities, to our whole-school events, such as our Festival, special breakfasts and morning teas, that bring families together.
Our staff are highly experienced educators and compassionate professionals who bring energy, expertise and care to their work every day.
Together, we are building a culture of collaboration, reflection and high expectations, ensuring that our students not only achieve academically but also develop the skills, empathy, and confidence to contribute positively to the world around them.
Whether you are new to our community or already part of the Torquay College family, I warmly welcome you.
We are proud of our school’s strong sense of connection and shared purpose, and we look forward to continuing this journey of learning and growth together.
