Book Week!

Wow, what an amazing week! Students in Grade 2 were busy in the lead up writing and illustrating their own stories, which were featured as part of the “Writers and Illustrators Festival’ in the Torquay College library.

Students participated in a range of classroom activities based on the 2019 shortlisted books and voted on their favourites. Guest presenter, illustrator Ben Wood taught us how to use shape and colour to plan character illustrations and how to draw pigeons just like in his books.

The gymnasium was alive in a sea of creative characters and colourful costumes for the annual Book Week Parade.

Thank you to all involved for making this week an outstanding success.
