Hut Building!

Over the past few weeks in the STEM Centre Year 1 and 2 students have been constructing huts to protect a pig from the ‘Big Bad Wolf’. This has involved the students choosing the material they would like to build with, creating a design of the shelter and constructing it in teams. All shelters have been created with great thought and working through problems with design and materials. They were then put to the test with the ‘Big Bad Wolf’, also known as a hair drier, to see if they withstood the huffing and puffing!

There were some fantastic design and amazing thinking around how and why they designed their huts the way they did!
