Year Three On Safari
On Tuesday the 4th of June, the Year Three students had their first excursion of the year to Werribee Open Range Zoo. In class we have been learning about Biological Science this term. Students were able to put their knowledge of living v’s non-living things, adaptations, and habitats into real-life experiences at the zoo. Students have also spent time selecting a zoo animal and researching information about them in class, prior to going to the zoo. They loved trying to find their chosen animal whilst on the excursion, then spending time observing them and adding to their understanding of that animal. We had a wonderful day and were extremely lucky to dodge the rain and wind experienced the days prior to our excursion.
