It’s NOT Magic!! It’s Science!!

ZAP! Have you ever been zapped when bouncing on a trampoline? Maybe, when you touched the car door? Or even when you touched a door knob? Well, the Year Ones can now explain why this little electric shock happens! We experimented by ‘charging up’ balloons (rubbing them on our hair) and watching what happened as we moved our hand underneath…….. Guess What!? The balloon followed our hand!! The electrical charge we had built up by rubbing the balloon on our hair was attracted to the electrical charge in our hands. Give it a try at home! It was heaps of fun!
