LIONS CLUB 'KINDNESS POSTER' COMPETITION

September 20, 2018

Every second year at Torquay College, our Senior School students enter into an International Competition organised by the ‘Lions Club’. The students have to design a poster that displays Visual images of what ‘Peace’ or ‘Kindness’ means to them. This year the theme was ‘Kindness’ so we examined what this word means, what it looks like, watched you tubes on random acts of kindness, and discussed that kindness is a universal, positive and desirable human quality that often can bring about a domino effect upon others. Kindness could mean being thoughtful and helpful to other humans, to the animal world, to nature, to the environment or go global. These beautiful posters were around 15 weeks of work.
