Torquay College goes "Into the Woods"

Our Drama Club is busy setting up the stage and getting into character, and excited about presenting our version of Into the Woods - Brothers Grimm stirred up by Sondheim with a dash of Shakespeare.
Every class in the school has contributed by creating a tree during Art. The trees (made of up-cycled wetsuit boxes) will transform the Presentation Room into a forest, and the music to enhance the atmosphere will be performed by our school bands, with some of our circus troupe also a part of the show. Costumes have been designed by the actors in conjunction with the expertise of Lis Fawcett-Smith.
Next week each year level will see a dress rehearsal of Into the Woods with everyone joining in a rendition of "I'm a Believer" at the end. All students have been learning the song in Music class this term, along with a student-created dance routine.
Evening performances for parents and families are on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th September.
