This afternoon the Year One’s did a fantastic job sharing their work from our Inquiry Unit ‘Whatever the Weather’ during the Torquay College STEM Expo. Many thanks to the families who were able to come along and share in the activities and experiments the students presented. It was definitely a fabulous way to end a great term of hard work!
Over the past 6 weeks the grade 2's have had some fluffy visitors in their classrooms. During class we have been investigating scientists and the contributions they have made to improving our world.
On Tuesday the 4th of June, the Year Three students had their first excursion of the year to Werribee Open Range Zoo. In class we have been learning about Biological Science this term. Our young scientists learnt some of the science behind clouds, storms and lightning whilst participating in some hair-raising experiments! The highlight was seeing and hearing the giant lightning bolts coming from the Tesla coil in the Lightning Room.
