The Year 5's have had their first session in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. Using the fresh ingredients from the garden they cooked up a feast!!! YUM!!!!!
Sun, surf and smiles as the Year 5’s took part in their first ever Open Water Program. Students challenged themselves both physically and mentally as they kayaked along Spring Creek where they were taught survival skills and how to calmly flip their upturned kayaks while floating in the creek. During surfing at Cosy Corner they learnt about water safety, how to perform a rescue using their boards and with determination and encouragement all experienced the thrill of standing

Foundation students have been 'filling buckets' as part of our Learning to Learn program. Students have been learning how saying and doing nice things for others can fill their friends buckets and their own buckets as well.

The Year 6 students have started the year with a SPLASH at Open Water! Over the past two weeks, students have been catching waves, learning about surf safety and paddling out to the buoy at Cosy Corner, and also kayaking along Spring Creek. It's been a sensational way to start the year!
The STEM room at Torquay College had its first classes in week 2! The students walked out with a massive smile on their face and keen to get back for more! Students had the chance to explore the room and get hands on with the activities.
