School Events & Specialist Subjects

Footy Day – All students are welcome to dress up in their favourite football team’s colours – Usually around Grand Final Day

Easter Fete – Our Major Fundraiser for the year.  Our Fete is held on Easter Saturday and is always a huge success thanks to many dedicated parents.  If you think you could contribute please let us know.

Fashions on the field – All students are welcome to dress in racing gear – Usually during Melbourne Cup Week

M.A.D day – The Years 5 to 6 students run the Mini Activity Day where students run stalls for the prep to year 4s to visit.  This is a fundraising day for the Student Representative Council

Asia Day – All students are invited to explore Asia and dress up in something relating to our closest neighbours.

Maths Day – Students work in multi – year level groups on maths activities.  This works on a “round robin” circuit and students get to learn from each other and get to know students in other year levels.

Specialist Subjects

L.O.T.E – Our College offers Indonesian as our Language other than English.  Students in years Prep to year 6 are offered Indonesian as part of the regular curriculum.

I.T – Each classroom has networked Computers as well as the college having 2 computer labs and dedicated teachers.  Years 5-6 students all have netbooks and many classrooms are now using interactive whiteboards.  Students are motivated and engaged using current ICT practice and programs

P.E – Our College has dedicated PE teachers.

Visual Art –  The students are exposed to a variety of mediums, equipment, techniques and work in both 2D and 3D mediums. Contemporary and traditional art work is regularly used as a stimulus for students’ work.  Large collaborative work is often undertaken.

Music – Our College has a dedicated Music teacher who takes each class for Music as part of the curriculum.  Each year level learns a different instrument.

  • Seniors – Ukulele
  • Individual music lesson can be arranged for instruments such guitar, trumpet or piano.

Mathletics – the Mathletics program is an online numeracy program which all our students can log onto and practice their skills.  Each student is provided with a user name and password and it can be access at both home and school.  Teachers set each child to an appropriate level.
